Responding to the Needs of a Missing Child:

The LRC will assist when we are contacted by a family member of the missing child or by the responding law enforcement agency.

We are a 501(c)3 organization supported by voluntary donations. We never charge for our services.

Each missing child case is different and may not require all of the listed responses.

  • Immediately Create and Distribute Missing Child Flyers
  • Organize Community Searches for abducted missing children including:
    • Identify and train community volunteers in search management
    • Map areas to be searched
    • Organize, brief, and de-brief search teams
    • Coordinate with responsible law enforcement agency
    • Coordinate community resources to support a search
    • Encourage media to support search effort
    • Document all aspects of the community search effort
    • Coordinate special search assets as needed
  • Support Families of Missing Children
